Easter Saturday April 3rd Mt Thunder. The streets of Methven will be reved up full throttle with the first annual Mountain Thunder street race. Racing kicks off at 10am and goes all day.

The 57th World Ploughing Contest will be held in Methven where the New Zealand Ploughing Assn will host competitors from 30 countries.

Dame Malvina Mayor – New Zealand’s celebrated opera Diva represents an intimate evening of song and chat covering her four decades on the national and international opera stages.

Come along to the Methodist Church fair for cake stalls, garage sale items including childrens toys.

Eight contestants will compete in a multi-disciplined farming challenge which tests a range of skills. This regional final is being held in conjunction with the NZ and World Ploughing Champs.
